DNA Matches and Consultation Service

This consultation will delve into your goals for DNA testing and provide information which you can use to understand the benefits of submitting your DNA with Ancestry (or another service, depending on test type) in hopes of finding unknown relatives.

For DNA Matching, a family tree loaded into Ancestry (or other genealogy service provider) is required. Assistance will be provided on messaging and connecting with your DNA Matches.  Consultation on using the DNA Painter tool will be included. Administration of the tree is also available if needed, at the per-hour rate. A previous example of this service connected 2nd cousins who were able to share their two grandfathers’ (siblings to one another) stories and locate a previously unknown photograph of the great-grandparents.
