Family Research

This service consists of an initial interview either via phone, Zoom, in person or with a questionnaire and research to cover 2 generations (up to 30 people), to include:
– an individual’s two parents and his/her siblings OR

– his/her grandparents and their children (individual’s aunts and uncles) OR

– the individual’s married family (and their children).

Research can be conducted within the late 1700’s to present time in the United States or for the United Kingdom. Evidentiary documentation may include birth, marriage, death and burial (vital records), as well as census records, city directories, church records or land records (depending on era) included with a summary report (50-100 pages) to include images and references. The file can be provided on a flash drive. A professionally printed, spiral-bound copy can be obtained for you at cost from a preferred local printer.

Additional costs (always with your approval first) might include:
– hourly fee to upload or revise a family tree with new research or revisions (into Ancestry).
– costs for credits required to view and download documentation from subscriptions sites where there is a fee (ScotlandsPeople and Deceased Online, for example) or photocopying documents from a library.

An example of a selected individual, parents and siblings is below, with just birth, marriage and death details (for simplicity in viewing). In this scenario, Clyde was the oldest of 10 children. The research for this family covered 22 people and the evidence found for them.
